2004 WCRC Bus To Quebec City

Bonjour mes chers amies! The Winner’s Circle Running Club is traveling to the Marathon des Deux Rives, Quebec City’s marathon, ½ marathon, and 10k race. The WCRC bus will depart Friday morning August 27 and return Monday evening August 30 (race day is Sunday, August 29). Three nights in romantic, charming Quebec City! The price for the round trip bus charter is a mere $100 per person. In Quebec City the bus will drop us off on Friday and pick us up on Monday at the Chateau Laurier, one block from the Race Expo and just outside the walls of the old city. Hotel reservations are up to you. We recommend staying at the Chateau Laurier (about $90-$120 US per night after the race discount) but there are many choices within walking distance. The exchange rate is currently 73 cents US for the Canadian Dollar. Visit the marathon’s web site http://www.marathonquebec.com for a race application and hotel information. If you register for the hotel through the marathon web site, you will get a discounted rate (a $40 CA - $29 US rebate).

BUS INSTRUCTIONS

The WCRC bus will depart Friday morning August 27 at 8:00 AM from the NH Park & Ride parking lot near the Hampton Exit (exit 2) or route 95. We expect to arrive at the Hotel Chateau Laurier in Quebec around 4:00 PM.

• From the north or south on Route 95 take the  Hampton exit (exit 2).
• After the exit toll booth, stay left towards Route 101 east.
• Take the first exit (exit 13) off of Route 101 to Route 27.
• Stay right on the exit road (there is a left fork) to the stop sign at Route 27.
• Turn left on to Route 27.
• Take the first left off of Route 27 on to Timber Swamp Road.
• The NH Park & Ride is immediately on the left.
• There are signs for the NH Park & Ride at every exit and intersection, starting just after the Hampton toll booth.

The WCRC bus will depart Monday morning August 30 at 12:00 Noon from the Hotel Chateau Laurier in Quebec and should be back at the NH Park & Ride parking lot around 8PM.
