Calendar of Regional Running Races
April, 1996
- 1 - 14th Annual April Fool's Four-Mile Road Race.
April Fool. This race is actually being held on March 30.
Go figure!
- 14 - Take Back The River 5K Run. Noon start on Saturday,
April 14 at corner of JFK and Memorial Drive, Cambridge Ma. Registration:
11:00 am - 12:00 noon or contact Nancy Dammann. $4 student (college
and younger), 5$ adult pre-registered $6 adult after April 10.
T-shirts: First 300 registrants (free with registration). Prizes:
by age group and raffle. Why: To promote safety especially while
running and have fun. All profits will go towards promoting safety
on and off campus through outreaches and self-defense classes.
Organized By H.A.S.T.E. Harvard Radcliffe Association for Safety
Training and Education. Open to all runners and walkers. Come
Have Fun whether warming up for the Marathon or just having fun.

- 15 - The 100th running of the Boston Marathon.
12 noon start at Hopkinton, MA. Need we say more?
- 21 - 2nd WHEB Harbortrail 5K Race. Portsmouth,
NH. For more information call (207) 698-5817.
- 27- The 1st Spring Fling 5K Run and non competitive
walk. 9:30 AM start on Saturday, April 27, 1996 at the Oyster
River Middle School, Durham, NH. Children's 1/4 Mile Fun Run at
11:00. To benefit Durham Infant Center, Durham Children's Center,
Forest Park Day Care and Little People's Center. $8 before 4/12,
$10 after 4/12. USATF certified course. T-shirts to first 200
entries. Overall, age group and team awards. Post-race raffle
and refreshments plus an afternoon of UNH/Durham Spring Fling
