- 4 - 13th Annual Chips Challenge 5K. 10:00 AM start
on Saturday, May 4 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
In-town, certified course. $10 pre, $12 post. Cash prizes to top
male and female, age group awards, raffle. For more information

- 11 - The 5th Foothealth 5K Road Race
& Health Walk - "New Hampshire RRCA 5K State Championship".
10:00 AM start on Saturday, May 11, 1996 at Gallien's Town Beach,
Derry, NH. USATF certified. $10 before 5/4, $12 after 5/4. To
benefit GDTC Summer Runs for Kids program. Tank top t-shirts to

- 11 - Mt. Kearsarge 8.5M Hill Run. 10:00AM start on
Saturday, May 11, 1996 at Simonds Elementary School in Warner,

- 11 - Great Strides For Education 5K. Saturday, May
11, 1996 in New London, CT. 5K run and walk to benefit CTWorks,
Inc. CTWorks is a non-profit organization devoted to aiding the
C student getting into college. This is the first year for the
race. It is a flat, wheeled (but not certified) 5K course starting
and finishing at Mitchell College. T-shirts to first 250. Awards
3 deep in most categories. Post-race refreshments. For more information

- 12 - 2nd Annual NHSPCA 5K for Kindness.
Join NHSPCA and race director, Olympic Medalist LYNN JENNINGS,
on Sunday, May 12, 1996 for a road race to support the animals.
Kids 1/2 mile XC obstacle fun run (no roads). T-shirts to first
200 entries. Overall and age group awards. Veggie Fest & fun

- 15 - The 7th Annual Run For The Roses
5K Women's Road Race Plus Non-Competitive Walk will be held
at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 1996 at the Winner's Circle Sports
Bar, Route 110 (near Rte. 95), Salisbury, MA. To benefit the Crisis
Center (Newburyport, MA) and Safe Place Inc (Portsmouth, NH).
Single roses to all competitors - bouquet to winner. Custom T-shirts
to first 200 registrants. Awards to top finishers, age division
awards, 3 women team awards, mother and daughter team and sister
team awards. Post race award ceremony with race video including

- 17 - The 4th Annual Parker River National Wildlife Refuge
Race Against Extinction 10K Road Race & 4 Mile Walk
will be run at 6:15 PM on Friday, May 17, 1996 at the Parker River
National Wildlife Refuge, Plum Island, Newbury, MA. Come enjoy
a spring evening sunset run on the most scenic course in New England!!!
A flat, fast, wheel measured, breathtaking course. Commemorative
T-Shirts to first 100 registrants. Entry Fee: pre-registration
$10 with shirt or $6 no shirt, race day $8 no shirt. Awards 1st-3rd
female and male finishers. Age group awards: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39,

- 18 - 15th Annual Newton NH 5 Miler. 9AM
race start on Saturday, May 18, at Sanborn Middle School, Newton,
NH (tot trot, fun run and 1 mile walk precede race). Gently rolling
hills with fast finish. $8 pre, $10 post. Cash prizes to top male

- 18 - Bedford Rotary Memorial Races: 12K race, 5K race,
5K race walk. 8:30 AM (12K) and 10:00 AM (5K) starts on Saturday,
May 18 at McKelvie School, Liberty Hill Road, Bedford, NH. 12K
$13 pre, $15 post; 5K $10 pre, $12 post. Certified courses, "American
Flag" T-shirts to first 400 registrants, age group awards,

- 19 - Run for Your Life 5.5 Mile Road Race. 1:00PM start
Sunday, May 19, in Marblehead, MA. For more information contact

- 19 - Run a Pleasant Mile 1 Mile Road Races will be
held Sunday May 19 in Tewksbury Mass at Tewksbury Memorial High
School at 320 Pleasant St. to benefit the Tewksbury Memorial High
School Track and Cross Country Scholarship Program. Races begin
at 9:30 AM, Heats by age group. Awards to for 3 finishers in each
of 12 age groups plus 2 wheelchair divisions. Wheel measured course,
professional computerized results, plenty of refreshments. This
is your rare opportunity to run a 1 mile race. Fee $8, T-shirts
to all pre-entries received by May 11th. Call race director Pat

- 26 - 5th Live Your Dreams 5M Run / 3M Walk.
8:30 AM start (8:00 AM walkers, 8:20 AM wheelchairs) at Senior
Center at Lower Village, Kennebunk, ME. Flat, fast, certified
and scenic coastal course. Cash prizes to top 3 male and female,
age group awards. $10 pre-registration, $12 day of race. For more

- 27 - Rowley Road Race. 5K run and 8 mile bike (2 events)
on Monday, May 27 at VFW Hall, Bradford Street, Rowley, MA. Bike
trials at 9:30, $10 pre, $12 post, limit 150 riders. 5K run at
noon, $8 pre, $10 post. Both events $15 pre. Awards, T-shirts

- 31 - 16th Annual Friday Nite Fiver Road Race.
6:00 PM start on Friday, May 31 at the Greater Lawrence Technical

hills, 3 mile walk. $10 pre, $11 post, field limited to 500. Age
group prizes and/or trophies, T-shirts to first 250 registrants,
