• 2 - Winter Wonderland Race. 2.6 mile road race and 5K snow/XC race in Maudslay State Park, Newburyport, MA. Snow race will pit runners versus XC skiers and snowshoers. Held in conjunction with Newburyport's Winter Carnival. Road race - 9AM; snow race - 9:45 AM. New race to raise funds for Park's purchase of abutting land. Otherwise land goes to developers! • 3 - The 3rd Annual Claddagh Pub Classic 4 Mile Road Race. 11AM start at the Claddagh Pub, 384 Essex Street, Lawrence, MA. TAC certified mostly flat course with one challenging hill. $10 pre, $12 post (9:00-10:30AM). Proceeds to benefit the Lawrence Police Athletic League. T-shirts to all applicants, age group awards. • 3 - 17th Annual Stu's 30K. Part of USAT&F Grand Prix series. Around Wachusett Reservoir through Boylston, Clinton, Sterling and West Boylston. Rolling hills, some long, others steep. $2,000 in individual and team prizes, hooded sweat tops as non-cash awards, shower/changing facilities, post-race junk food binge, TAC Certified and RRCA sanctioned, entry fees $12 before March 2/$15 day of race. • 10 - Gate City Striders 5-Mile Winter Race Series. 9 AM start at the Nashua Athletic Club, 586 West Hollis St., Nashua, NH, 03062. Flat, runner-friendly, out-and-back course. Warm and dry staging area with showers and locker room. Post-race refreshments. $4 entry fee 8:15AM-8:45AM day of race. No pre-entries. • 10 - 16th Annual Irish Feet Are Runnin' 5 Mile Road Race. 1 PM start at Hynes Tavern, Gorham St., Lowell, MA. Fast lollipop shaped course in Lowell and Chelmsford. T-shirts to first 500 entries. Shower and changing facilities, post-race party, cash awards and age-group awards, raffle prizes. $10 before 3/9/96, $12 after. For more information contact Mark Coddaire at 508-453-1787.
• 23 - Run to the Beach 30K. 10 AM start at North Andover VFW. Follows Rt. 125 to Rt. 110. Ends at the Winner's Circle Sports Bar in Salisbury, MA. Water at 5, 10 and 15 miles. Miles marked. NO FEE. BYO watch. For more information contact Dave Labrode at 508-373-3408.
• 30 - 15th Annual April Fool's Four-Mile Road Race. 11 AM start on Saturday March 30, 1996 at Winner's Circle Sports Bar, Rte. 110 (1/2 mile east of Rte. 95) in Salisbury, MA. Pre-entry $8 with shirt, $6 without shirt. Post-entry $8 without shirt. Cash awards to top 5 male and 3 female finishers. Age group awards. Team awards. Raffles. • 31 - Presidential Roadrace. Sunday, March 31, 1996 in Kennebunkport, Maine. Really fun 5 mile race that winds itself through beautiful Kennebunkport running past the summer home of former President George Bush. Race begins at 10AM right in "Dock Square" with a childrens FUN RUN going off at 9:15 AM. Great prizes and lots of fun !
