WCRC runs at 5:00 PM every Thursday from the club's locker rooms at the Winner's Circle Sports Bar, 211 Elm Street (Rt. 110), Salisbury, MA 01952. Runners of all abilities are invited to participate. Club "social hours" occur each Thursday following the run. General club meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM.

Group runs are held every Monday at 6:00 PM from the parking lot at Saunders at Rye Harbor, in Rye NH. Of course, a "social hour" on the deck always follows the run.


WCRC Fall Coached Running Enhancement Program: WCRC coach Mike McCormick is again organizing a fall series of coached running workouts at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA. Workouts will start at 5:30 PM on Tuesday evenings starting September 9. If you haven't run in Maudslay you're in for a treat ... if you have you know what to expect. There is no more beautiful way to get into running and racing shape than fall workouts on the roads and trails of Maudslay. Set yourself up for an impressive performance at the Turkey Trot in Maudslay on Thanksgiving Day.

The 22th Annual Bobby Bell 5-Mile Road Race/Walk will be run on Sunday October 12, 2008 in Haverhill, MA. 10:30AM start time for the walk, 11:00 AM start time for the race. Numerous awards in various age, weight, and specialty categories.   “Gender Graded Scoring”. Huge buffet to follow.  DJ, raffle prizes, fun!  No gender divisions, women and men compete as equals.  Benefits the Tony Sapienza Math Scholarship fund. The WCRC Halloween Crawl is back from the dead! The revived pub run will be held Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Winner's Circle. There will be cash prizes for best costume ($50 - 1st; $30 - 2nd; $20 - 3rd) so be creative. How does it work? We'll run (or crawl) to different establishments and have the staff vote on their favorite costumes which will be tallied. While this important work is taking place, you are free to hydrate with your favorite beverage. Think you can top the Tina Turner, giant banana, or Hershey Kiss costumes? Come give it a try!

The Trick or Treat Trot 5K Road Race will be run at 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Walkers and costumes welcome (costumes optional). Long sleeve T-shirts, age division awards, best costume award. Organized by the NHS Class of 2010. Finish line by WCRC. The annual WCRC predict your time Turkey Raffle will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 4PM at the Winner's Circle. This is a WCRC MEMBERS ONLY event. Predict your own time, run a 5k in your predicted time without a watch, win a turkey if you prediction is the closest. What could be easier. For those of us who are elapsed-time challenged, there is a multi-turkey raffle as well.

The 19th Annual Turkey Trot 3.1 Mile X-Country Run/Walk will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 8:20 AM in Maudslay State Park, Newburyport, MA. Enjoy Hassle-free, Traffic-Free Running in one of Massachusetts’s most picturesque State Parks! For more information email turkeytrot@xenia.unh.edu. Organized by WCRC. 

The Mill Cities Relay will be run on Sunday December 7, 2008. The Club Championship of the Merrimac Valley. Relay team race open to invited "mill cities" clubs only (including WCRC). For more information contact Derek Dorval (ddorval@northreading.mec.edu) or Laurie Gaudreau (lgaudreau@yorkhospital.com). All WCRC club members are encouraged to participate. There is no limit to the number of WCRC relay teams. There is no cost for WCRC members who participate (the club pays all race fees). EVERYONE has a good time!

The Santa's Toy Trot 2 Mile, 4 Mile and 6 Mile Road Races Plus Non-Competitive Walk and 1/2 Mile SANTA'S ELVES FUN RUN for Kids will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2008. 1:15 PM start in Merrimac, MA (1:00 PM start for the Elves Run). Register with a toy!!! Proceeds to Benefit TOYS FOR TOTS and HOLIDAY HELPERS. Run 1, 2, or 3 laps on the 2 mile course ... choose your race distance while you're running!  Age group awards for all three distances, plus raffles. The annual Winners Circle Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 20, at 6:00 p.m. at Saunders at Rye Harbor (owned and operated by WCRC member and Saunders 10K race director Doug Zechel). Dinner and dancing for WCRC members and their guests. Great food, dancing and Santa sightings are guaranteed! MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW AND STAY TUNED FOR THE DETAILS.

The 28th Annual New Years Day Classic 10K and 5K Road Races will be run at 11:45 AM on Thursday, January 1, 2009. Great location at Salisbury Beach!!! Optional Ocean Plunge!!! Cash and merchandise awards, long sleeve tee-shirts, classic mugs, and more. Participate in "A New Years Day Tradition". Organized by WCRC.
