Club Gears Up to Defend Valley Laurels
|
Team Coordinator Mike McCormick has racing teams formed in just about
every division as the WCRC prepares to three-peat as Merrimack Valley club
champions. Runners who wish to take part and have not signed up need to
contact Mike immediately. For those who are planning to run, he offers
the following reminders:
- Race starts 8 am at Nashua Y.
- Batons must be carried and numbers worn.
- Numbers will be available at the Club’s monthly meeting on Dec.5 at
the Winner's Circle. If you don't get your number there, please arrange
to get it the morning of the race.
- Legs 1 (5.7 miles),2 (5.2) &3 (2.3) are the same as last year,
but the long 4th leg is now 10.9 miles, ending a bit further up the road
at a public park, and the last leg is 3.4, ending at the Hibernian Hall
in downtown Lawrence.
- Post-race festivities are at the Hibernians.
- All participants will receive commemorative bricks, with the first
3 teams in each category getting inscribed bricks.
- THE COMPETITION is the overall club trophy which goes to the club with
the lowest cumulative time in 7 categories (male and female open, mixed
open, male and female masters, mixed masters, and male seniors). SO RUN
HARD, every second counts.
- Please wear Winner's Circle colors/singlets. Bob Randall has more (508-346-9240).
